Transatlantic Subsonic Record
Forgive the fact it is full size, interesting all the same.
P.S. I wonder what the "Down Wind Turn" crew will make of this one :-) https://www.pprune.org/spectators-ba...ic-record.html |

We used to hold the record with a BA VC10 cruising at Mach .825 true.set in 1979. There were some VERY strong jetstreams too, on the TYO to HKG route , too. |

Perhaps its game on again this weekend when another powerful jet is in place. Perhaps Virgin will have a go with a 350, cant have BA holding both subsonic and supersonic records. ( 2 59) can they !! |
