Electron Retract installation

I just picked up a pair of the Electron retracts and I have a question. Is it necessary to make a flat spot on the 8mm pin that mounts into the trunion. My dremel died and if the flat spots are not a necessity I would rather not bother with them.
Thanks,
Tone

Your not suppose to need to, but the leg will most likely rotate eventually on the bigger wheels..., I normally don’t do it during build but after my taxi test if it track ok I do them before flying....

The answer is yes. In the trunion there are fewer set screws and the rock hard pin will not allow the screws to grab. The four in the leg almost cope, but I always flat two of them.

Anyway, you cannot exist without a Dremel 😉

Lol, fair enough! Will hold off for tonight and pick up a new dremel in the am.
