KingTech G4 Engines!

Just in time for my twin purchase!

Integrated FOD screens, Brushless motors all around, ECU inside the turbine, etc.... Not to mention, you will see Barry flying, a WHOLE bunch, everywhere, service in California and with every engine purchase I've made, kingtech throws in some of their oil....

I'm excited! So who is flying them? Whadaya think about them?

I had some K85G2's in a small A-10 and they were like jewelry. And they had a mechanical sound that complimented their turbine sound too!

These look like another great offering from Kingtech. Nice!

Any pics of some of the accessories? Namely, the data relay module?

The yellow plugs are very interested and they look like there’s no way to mixed them up like the first generation, that’s nice upgrade.

Nice, but still looks like the fuel pump is brushed??

I do believe the G2 and up fuel pumps were brushless. I’m pretty sure my G2’s were brushless, but I’ve been wrong before.

txshan130 05-12-2020 12:21 PM

pump is brushed, G5 maybe haha

Dansy 05-12-2020 12:32 PM

Pretty sure the G2 pump are brushless........

When you say "ECU in the turbine" do you mean there is no box whatsoever outside of the turbine? Or do you mean it has a TCU to run the starter, gas valves, etc.?

Dansy 05-12-2020 12:36 PM

There’s a DRM instead of the ECU outside......data relay module....the ecu is under the motor cover...

bodywerks 05-12-2020 12:54 PM

Interesting. I run swiwin, which has always had a TCU, but the ECU still controls the pump, and relays data from the TCU as well as provides telemetry.

ledd4u 05-15-2020 12:03 PM

How long for the wait?

ravill 05-16-2020 06:07 AM

Who knows, but I placed my order and took advantage of the $100 off per engine right now.

ledd4u 05-16-2020 06:58 AM

$100 off? Plus shipping? Let me check out the website. Ain’t waiting like 367.3 weeks might just stick to Jetcat.

ravill 05-16-2020 08:04 AM

I had no shipping charges.

hotspot 01 05-16-2020 01:52 PM

By what I’ve seen the new 180 has had a major change in size and max rpm.

My K160 G4 was less than a week, but you should go with Jetcat.

ledd4u 05-17-2020 04:32 AM

Placed the order for a new Jetcat. Thanks.

ravill 05-17-2020 07:45 AM

I got a text from Fed-Ex saying to expect a shipment from Pasadena today.

Ordered on 5/15 and showing up at my house on 5/17.

If that package are my engines, 2 days to my house is more than reasonable shipping time.
