Su-35 rennovation project. Landing gear of Su-27 Family?
Hi guys,
i got my hands on a rather rare Su-35 from the german sukhoi formation team. It is approximately 1/9 scale (WS just over 60", length just short of 100", dry weight approx 25lbs). It was damaged on landing and flipped over. The radome needs to be fixed, canopy replaced, and both stabilizers were torn off. Smaller nicks and "rash" on the wins will be fixed along the way. It was horribly raped to be single engine powered....luckily i was able to get a set of original belly and tail parts to convert it back to scale twin. So far so good.... BUUUUT! The landing gear was a homebuilt unit which is horrible. No brakes, lots of slop, and the kinematic functionality is horrible. I would like to replace it with a similarly sized unit from a su-27 family kit thats available. Coming to mind is the JetLegend 1/8.5 Su-27 which is no longer available. Sadly the [email protected] contact is not working anymore either. FeiBao has a similarly sized bird also, but the gear does not seem to rotate 90 degrees on retraction. My question: What gear options are out there? Does maybe someone even have a surplus set from jetlegend or another option? Thanks for your help Hank |
Maybe you can try contacting Marcus Rummer, he's making the gear for the Carf SU's and maybe can make one for you needs...

I have FeiBao su-27. Retracts will rotate.
I crashed it during landing and its gonna need a lots of repairs. I will change it from Twin to Single just to lose some weight and get tanks etc to the CG. Now the change of CG due fuel was over 2cm during flight. Matrix may do some retracts for 1/9 scale SU family |

I bought gear from Matrix for the CARF Mig 29 and they are well made, expensive, but well made. They have Su-27 gear for the smaller Aviation Design model my guess is they can make your gear.
