I saw one at Thunderthrust 2 in july....they are nice, that one was custom painted....wings servo's were mounted in the hatch covers...

Skunkwrks 09-24-2021 04:22 PM

Now the aileron is mounted in the wing rib ...love the Pennzoil chipmunk paint scheme.

I'm also building one with a custom paint scheme.

- Yea I heard about the Aileron's getting mounted to the servo cover. I think the Rib mounting will work out well. We will see when the time comes.

- As of right now planning on installing a SWIWIN 240 but the 300 has crossed my mind! HAHA.

This jet will look so good with like f-35 paint job with those lightings on the rudder, spot scale looking jet, this will work for someone who doesn’t like the sport jets and wants the aggressive design.

I have not measured the wheels but I belive they are 4"/100mm wheels.
I will be using JR 8911 Coreless servos all around. 855 oz/61.6kg
https://www.deeforce.net/product-page/jr-dfa-s8911

I can measure the landing gear tonight and will post some pictures for you.

Let the Build of the Huracan from Aerocarcontrol Begin!
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...5c91c8c9c2.jpg
Step #1, Seal all the wood joints with thinned epoxy. I mix up some epoxy and thin it to a water consistency. Paint on with an epoxy/acid brush.

Getting ideas for equip layout.

The fit of everything on the kit is wonderful! So much of it is pre done.
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...942fc52953.jpg
Front of pipe area. I was wondering what the bellmouth was made of. A magnet sticks to it so it's some form of steel. Stove Pipe maybe?
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...69caddb7fb.jpg
All of the connection work is done already! This is the elevator tube.
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...d47b487a02.jpg
Rudder connection point. Access for fastening is through the end/tailpipe section.
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...68755be385.jpg
Another shot of the pipe in fuse. The fuse is a great design. Easy to make it splitable to fit into a small vehicle or for shipping. The pipe stays with the rear end. The engine stays with the front. There would be 3 servo connection points separating the back from the front.
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...d26bfe5ca3.jpg
The hardware included for the surfaces.
