Kinetix from ST Jets
Got my new Kinetix flying today. Super excited to finally have a jet to call my own…at least until someone else wants it :)
Details on the airframe can be found here: https://aeropanda.com/products/kinetix-chip-style?_pos=37&_sid=1b26808cc&_ss=r https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...36b16ffb9.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...2b4e1bd1c.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...e59860a14.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...a01d92e3f.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...f58ae972d.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...05870b273.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...24533eb80.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...1693243f5.jpeg |

I watched some videos of the Kinetix flying, wow!
How do you haul this thing around? It is too long for a Chevy Tahoe. Does the fuselage split? |

Hi All, for those of you that have or have played with this plane, do you know how it would do on a Bumpy grass?
Thank you. Behzad |

Thank you. Behzad I will pretty much be exclusively flying it from grass except a couple events a year from paved surface but I haven't flown it yet. |
Thanks Jonathan. I like the look of it. once you get your gears, can you please let me know that what is the nose wheel size.
Thanks Behzad |

All wrapped up! Next stop, MAIDEN FLIGHT!

Little update on the Kinetix. First flights video coming.
All the stock throws were bang on with the exception of the Aileron. I added an additional 20% in the Radio. On the manual settings I found it too slow. Of course this is purely personal preference. CG Set to the stock location with the included balancer devices. It's a bit nose heavy at that location but perfectly flyable. slight push required on inverted flight to keep it level. I have about 4-5 OZ in the nose and am slowly removing it each flight now. Keep in mind that mine is setup with no pilot. If I had a pilot, I would not need any nose weight. My turbine battery (3 cell lipo 3300 Mah) and receiver batteries (2 cell lipo 5000 mah) are on the front of the equipment tray. I think I have 10 - 12 flights on it now and absolutely loving this plane! It grabs lots of attention at the fields and the white matt finish is Beauty! Starting to get more aggressive with it now and it's great! |

Maiden flights complete on my new Kinetix. Went with a lightweight setup on this one, including a fuel bag in place of the standard tank and UAT. A full set of my new flush mounts keeps the equipment install super clean.

Ailerons and CG
Hello. I got the Jonathan´s Kinetix. It is a beauty. I finally flew it. But I coincide with Jonathan's comments: Rolls a re a little slow and it is Nose Heavy at Instructions CG location.
I tried to increase ailerons movement, but it is physically impossible to give more than 22mm down, so I give 22mm up an down. I wonder if I can go 25 up and 22 down. Is anybody there that have tried something like this? It seems in some videos that it really can roll faster than mine can. How far can I go with the CG??? |
Saw it fly at Joe Nall today. It flew very well. Rock solid!

The only thing you need to do to increase aileron throw, is to sand back the wing skin a little, I have done that in the past…..tape the aileron and with a sand bar slowly sand back, probably would need much…. looking forward to fly mine… |
Sergio put in some pretty and seriously precise Jet aerobatics at the Joe Nall event last week. Enough to make me pay attention! I’m watching closely to see/hear what you think when you get her up and trimmed.

3 flights on mine today. Such a great flying jet. The current versions have the ailerons extended further out on the wing and also have the aileron hinge spar moved a bit forward to allow more travel.
