Advice normally requires a question to be asked?
|
Plz see my question in description.
any advise will be appreciated. |
You will have to buy a Transmitter, either to match a reciever you have, or new with receiver.
Can look on here, your local classified ads or hobby store. |
Thx.
Do I need ground controller to setup anything with communication port (using some device). Plz advise |
It wasnt showing any message when I posted the above. Based on your question and responses I suggest you seek help from your local rc club.

I think you'd be better off pulling that turbine out and buying something new or used that's more from this century. Sophia turbines are very old. They use a separate oil system. You should search online to find a manual or any other info that can help. At the very least, pull it and all it's ancillary equipment out and figure out what's needed to run it outside the aircraft. Just my opinion.

You nailed it.
yes it does use seperate lubricant oil and seperate pump. I did try finding online butbno luck. Thx |
What the others said. The motor installed is an air start (needs a compressed air source like a scuba bottle to start) Sophia that hasn't been made in at least 25 years. Bearings are about the only thing on a turbine that are somewhat generic and generally available from someone other than the manufacturer. The rest of the parts will be limited to what can be repurposed from other makes, which wont be much, so it's basically worthless. You don't know much about the airframe manufacturer or the rest of the setup. Most of the air and fuel lines will likely have to be replaced. With that said you might be able to get $1,500.

Thanks.

plane/engine
The plane you have is a JS 39 Gripen with a Sophia 850 turbine engine. The engine operates as the others have stated (to start)
and runs on JP4 (actual military) or Colman lantern.fuel. It will not start on Jet A, kerosene, or diesel fuel. It's now possible to start that engine with a high volume leaf blower. Good luck. Johnny |
Hey Johnny,
I use this now instead of Scuba/leaf blower to start AMT's and cool downs of my Xicoys. Its always on my person, good for camp fire stoking and smoke in your face, blows remaining water after carwash around mirrors and window jambs. Good for a quick VAC/BLOW of auto carpet with doors open. You actually bought one of my Mercurys way back we met at a gas station on my way to Mac Hodges. |
Sound scarry to me. I am not into turbine. I will try to sale or put on wall for showing
Thanks |
plane/engine
C/f,
I gave the engine to a club member thats not a turbine flyer, but we run it at our field and have a ball. Great hearing from you. Johnny |
