I didn't get help in the radio thread so here is my questions.
I am outfitting a big 120" A-10 hog. Ive got hi power digitals on elv and ail. 615mg on the 4 flaps and 2 ruds. stand on gear and brakes. My questions are what battery set up should I use. 1 or 2 rec. seperate rec bat?
I dont want to make any mistakes with a 10k investment.
Thanks

Two seperate packs!!

For sure two Batteries!! If there is a simple reliable way for the servos to have their own battery pack that maybe is the way to go!

I have experience with two batteries plugged into the receiver. One in the normal port the second in a Y connector any other port / channel. I use no regulators or battery backup devices, just two powerful high ma packs! Two separate switches one for each. Keep it simple but redundant ------

Good points Lee. If ya get a MPX Profi 4000 with the 12 ch IPD receiver, it has a diode isolation circuit built in for use with two seperate 6 volt flight packs. I've been flying this and it is fantastic. But this is not a seperate pack for RX with another for servos, just a redundant supply for everything.

Hooked,

Check out the MAS B-Switch at www.mas.net.au. It allows some of the servo load to be transferred to a separate battery pack.
