RE: SWB Mamba
ORIGINAL: David Gladwin The SWB Mamba is rarely, if ever mentioned, on this site. Can anyone relate their experiences with this engine ? I have also seen it at heart of ohio and at the last Superman flyin where it was flown in several types of aircraft, the most impressive was a BVM Bobcat XL the (larger of the two bobcats) it was staying right in there with the larger turbines in the 20 lb class (very impressed) also what I learned was that the fuel consuption is only 6.76 oz/min @100% . Good luck and Merry Christmas |
RE: SWB Mamba
David,
I think the biggest reason the SWB Mamba has been ignored is because they tried to market it as an airstart engine at the same pricing as the autostarts. Now that they have made the Mamba full auto at a reasonable price, I think we'll see more of them around.... Todd |
RE: SWB Mamba
Thanks for that. I was very impressed by its quality when I saw it at FJ 20012 but it just seems to have faded from the scene. Hope it does well now its in AES,
