Help required for Jim Fox Hawk
I am currently refurbishing a Jim Fox Hawk that I bought second hand.
I have all the instructions and plans but think I may have missed something. I have details of the control deflections required but cannot find anywhere that says where the tailplane neutral point should be. can anyone help? Is there anything on the fuselage that I can line the leading edge of the tailplane up with? Alternatively does anyone know what incidence the neutral point should be set at? Thanks for your help. |
RE: Help required for Jim Fox Hawk
Good place to start would be to 0 deg it to the wing.... Trim after takeoff...

I agree, i do not recall any preset incidences. Just set 0 0 to wing.

RE: Help required for <span class=
I got the gen direct from the horses mouth. The tailplane can be set by lining up the T.E. with the top of the fuselage for the first flight. I don't know if this equates to 0 deg incidence. He was really helpful, by the way!
If you need a copy of the 1/7th scale Hawk instructions I can help you out. If you are buying a built one there is not much in the instructions to help. I can easily post CG, control deflections and flying tips if that is all you need. |
RE: Help required for <span class=
Have you flown it yet?? This will be my second jet, first turbine and I was wondering how it flies.
