Another Roo Servo Question
I am currently building a Kangaroo. I have a couple of spare Futaba 9151 servos. They have loads of torque and are digital but use plastic gears. Do you think they will be OK for the rudders?
Also, what are you guys using on the speedbrake? Thanks |
RE: Another Roo Servo Question
I use 4 JR DS 8301 in the wings and DS 8201 on the rudders. The speed-brake is operated by a Hitec 615MG. All well for over 200 flights now...[8D

RE: Another Roo Servo Question
i am also building a composite - arf kangaroo, as for the speed brake, i am using jr's 8611, as for your rudders i think those servos will work just fine,

RE: Another Roo Servo Question
Thanks for your help guys. I think I will stick with the 9151s on rudder. I'm going to go with JR 8321 on elevons. I'd still be interested in peoples thoughts on the speedbrake.
I know there are loads of roos out there! Thanks again |
RE: Another Roo Servo Question
Im building the Composite ARF roo now and i have increased the speed brake by 1.5cm and i am installing the futaba S9402 on the speed brake. For the elevons i`m using the Graupner DS8411
I believe 8kgs torque (111 oz-in) is more than enough. On the last roo i had i didn`t apply full speed brake until i was on final anyway and the airspeed on that time shouldn`t put that much stress on the servo. Milli |
