AV8R framed up

Just posting a few pics of my AV8R all framed up. Took alot of work to make the fuse straight, but it got done eventually.
I'll post more as I start covering this week.

Anyone got a set of brakes or brake valves they don't need?

Shok, email me your address and I'll send you a set of wheels and brakes I'm never gonna use for $50.00. They should work perfect on an AV8R.

Shok

Here is some vid taken from mine http://www.rnlinc.com/rc/AV8R.wmv

www.rnlinc.com

Just make sure it is on the nose heavy side.

As mine was way tail heavy when I got it. It flew ok but at the top of a loop it would go inverted flat. I just got very Lucky I got it out in time.

Once cg moved to correct position the jet fly just fine, and if you attempt a loop too slow it will do a cool tail slide at the top where it runs out of speed, then the nose flops down and it flys right out!

My FTE has run flawlessly every time and has almost unlimited vertical.

Let me know if you have any questions.

ok it's so close I can smell it now.
everything is hooked up and ready, all Im waiting on now is the brakes and the brake valve from glennis and it's time to go fly. Hopefully by the weekend if everything gets here.

RE: AV8R framed up

ok all done now, hopefully can get some finished pics up soon.

All up weight is 13lbs even dry.
16.5lbs wet.

so with a little math
837 Sq in, 16.5 Lb, 45Oz/Sq in at take offf, Stalling speed 37 mph
13 Lb, 36 Oz/Sq in at landing, Stalling speed 33mph

This thing should be a breeze to fly. Now if the weather cooperates maybe I can maiden it Sunday.
