RE: Jetcat 200????
ORIGINAL: seanreit Ronnie, I think David was running a 160 on the kc at austin. If he was running a 120, then that begs the question, can you run a 120 on a 160 ECU? I don't think so, but never asked. Yeah I think friday he was running the 160, then had a few problems and replaced it with a 120. I'm pretty sure it was a 120, I may be wrong though. |
RE: Jetcat 200????
ORIGINAL: Doug Cronkhite The P-120 is more than enough power for the Kingcat and it will EASILY run right up to 200mph. Just my opinion, but I think the P-120 is the best choice for the KC. Also, I've seen BV's original Kingcat fly several times with the P160, and I agree, its sporty. However, saw Dustin flying that same airplane at MidAtlantic jets and I commented on the performance. Dustin told me that they had a problem with the P160, and that it actually had a new P120 on it - I really couldn't tell the difference... I agree that the P120 is an excellent option for the Kingcat. Bob |
RE: Jetcat 200????
Anyone who's seen what Jason Sommes can do with a 120 powered Kingcat knows that it really doesn't matter what powerplant is on that airplane. The Kingcat's flight envelope is far beyond the skills any of us have.

RE: Jetcat 200????
I don't think so, but never asked. I was flying a P-160 on Thursday, took it out and flew a P-120 for the rest of the weekend. I have flown all three engiens on the Kingcat and while my preference is the P-160 there is not a really big difference between the 120 and 160 performance. |
RE: Jetcat 200????
Gentlemen.
This thread was mistakenly removed during an attempt to lock it from further posting as it has served its purpose. It was an honest mistake and not a right wing conspiracy by the Jets moderators with a company or reps as we were accused of. In consideration with the forgoing and due to the fact that the thread IMOHO has ran its course; we are going to restore the thread in a locked status. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Regards Ben |
