Another big one from the UK
The latest jet biggie to fly here in the UK is on the JMAs website at:

my jaw is still hangin' down! Breathtaking is an understatement.
Totally righteous, man! Kim |

120 pounds wet powered by 2 jetcat P-120s. That sounds weird in a world of 1 to 1 thrust to weight ratios being the norm.

Warmest congratulations to Steve Ricketts, a great achievement, and he even painted it in my old airline's colours ! (remember BOAC ?).

RE: Another big one from the UK
Great job ... Now we just need to be able to do these in the USA

RE: Another big one from the UK
I witnessed this aircraft fly at Cosford, totally realistic and flown in a realistic way by a full size pilot who obviously knows how to display this model. The only small criticism was it could do with 15 to 20 lbs of ballast as it lands like a glider.

We were at Bruntingthorpe with the big Vulcan and my camera when Steve and his dad carried out the first 2 test flights before paint was applied. I can try to post some footage if there is interest ? Got some good shots of the stall test.
Nice to see another twin turbine airliner flying in the UK. We had another good day's flying with my Fokker 100 yesterday. We will be taking this and the big Vulcan to the RR Hucknall, UK meeting tomorrow, I think Gordon may be there also with the B52, though I'm not sure which day(s). Rob. |

I can't help it but I keep comming back to see this incredible plane. Built out of wood with no fiberglass, composites or foam. Fantastic job Steve. I wish there was an RC Hall of Fame. Steve would be one of the first inductees.
Thanks for sharing these great pictures. Wayne |

RE: Another big one from the UK
Yes, we had some good flying despite the less than ideal weather conditions on the Saturday. I thought my Fokker 100 pictured was a reasonable size until it was put it in with the real big boys !! Next project will have to be another much bigger twin I think.

RE: Another big one from the UK
Unfortunately the B52 crashed. You can see a video of this unfortunate event at www.invester.org.uk . Does anybody know the reason yet?

RE: Another big one from the UK
Are the plans for a Vulcan? I've only ever seen a kit for Pusher prop, but not too keen on pushers.

Dave Johnson has one.

RE: Another big one from the UK
Thats the one that started with props then went to twin turbines? Turbines aren't an option yet for me, especially two! so I'd be looking for a model about 1/2 the size of Dave's for twin pushers. (looks as if pusher is the only way to keep the nice lines of the vulcan.)
Thanks for your help |
RE: Another big one from the UK
Argghhh!!! Don't do it !! Possibly the worst sound in the World....2-stroke noise coming from a jet [:'(]
Rob. |
RE: Another big one from the UK
 i agree.
are there any videos of Dave's Vulcan? |
