JET NEWBIE!

Hi to all Jet fliers,

I would like your solid advice on what Jet would be most suitable for someone who wants to enter the jet world. I am looking for an airframe/turbine combo that will not hurt my pocket very much but will also be of good quality and somehow forgiving.Flat out warp speed is not in my priorities nor is scale or drop gorgeous looks!

Thanks.

RE: JET NEWBIE!

If you don't mind a little building, you can go with a Facet jet designed by Kerry Sterner and sold by Great Northern Models. If you choose their Facet 1200 and a 12 lbs turbine you can expect to invest about $2500 to $3000 by the time you hit the flying field. If you choose the bigger Facet 2300 and say a 24 to 28lb turbine, your investment would run about $3500 to $4000.

Jet's aren't cheap but the thrill they provide is well worth it in my opinion. Another suggestion would be to find out what other jet guys in your area are flying and seek their advice.
