Tail pipe question

Hello JetFans

I am planning to upgrade my Eurosport from a P120 and replace it with a bigger ooomph for better vertical acceleration. Have not decided yet which engine to get. ( I'll just have to ask Santa about it. )

Question.
Can I still use the stock pipe or do I need a different pipe if I use a 32-35 lbs. thrust turbine?
thnks in advance.

Have a great Xmas ,Happy New Year and food, food food[sm=lol.gif]

RE: Tail pipe question

Dont suggest you use the stock pipe with anything larger than a 27lb engine. To date, I know of two Euro's lost when the stock pipe let go. Tams Standard Euro pipe is good to around 32-34lbs, larger engines like the Merlin or Rhino require a pipe around 80-90mm for best performance and engine temps.
Just my 2C ;-)

Hi guys.

I have a SimJet Nexus in my Euro, and I startet out using the stock pipe. I didn't get the right perfomance from the engine, and the temp. of the engine was higher than normal. I changed the pipe to a 100 mm and got the right performance.

RE: Tail pipe question

Hi Todd

Firstly, congratulations on the new additon to the family. Hope everything is going well with wife and baby.

I would like to know if the early versions of the Euro had smaller pipes? I measured one and it is +- 85 mm at the outlet and +- 89mm at the inlet.

I want to use a AMT Netherlands Pegasus HP in my new Euro and spoke to Bennie who seems to think that 85mm is OK. Maybe just have to remanufacture the inner if you have seen some collapse. Any comments?

Video of the Merlin powered Euro shows that it has 160N of power! No need for manufactuer specs. Amazing spool up!

Have a great Christmas.
