Ozark Mountain Jets is shaping up to be a very good, low key event with lots of flying time for everyone. The 10 day weather forecast on Weather.com for Sullivan shows partly cloudy skies for all three days with a high temperature of 84 degrees all weekend. Lookin' great!

If you still haven't made your reservations, you need to do so now. The Baymont is the newest and has a great rate if you can still get in there but all are pretty decent places to stay. They are all within a mile of the airport.

I am thinking of coming to the meet. I need to know the nearest military base. I will most likely stay in the BOQ. I hope to fly my DF if the turbines will get out of my way.

We would love to have you come down and fly with us. Ducted fans should be well represented at Ozark Mountain Jets. I will have two of them there myself.

The nearest military base to Sullivan is Ft. Leonard Wood which appears to be about an hour away (roughly 60 miles) further west along I-44. The next closest base is Scott AFB in Illinois. It is on the Southeast outskirts of the St. Louis metro area and appears to be about an 80 mile drive to Sullivan. The drive to and from Ft. Leonard Wood would also be the easiest since it is almost all rural Interstate highway whereas the route from Scott AFB takes you through the St. Louis metro area.
