RE: Futaba 9cap question
Just go to the P-Mix page by hitting the menu button a second time, select a P-mix, activate it. Select you master and slave channels, Set the channel activation to your gear switch so it only functions gear down and dial in your mix percentage. I usually setup opposite this however, I put steering on 4 and rudders to the mixed channel which allows trim adjustment of the NG without affecting rudder center. Questions?

RE: Futaba 9cap question
Pegasus, go to the advanced menu that has all the "prog.mix" settings. Choose 1,2,3,4 or 5 then use use the Select (cursor) to get you to the prog.mix menu by pushing it twice, then use the turn knob to turn on the mix, then use the Select (cursor) and scroll down one to choose your Master (rudd), then scroll down one, choose your Slave (aux.1-ch.7). Tle link off, trim off, switch (SW) doesn't matter, and Posi=Null (very important) If this is null and your mix is on, it will always be on. After that use the select to scroll to the next menu which will take you to your rate and offset. Select left or right rate by moving you rudder stick and input the % you want to get desired steering. Hopefully you will not need offset. This basically repositions your nuetral point and I can't really walk you through this. Like I said hopefully you not need it if everything else is set-up closely.
This is a basic set-up and should get you in the ballpark. Your instruction manual is also very good and can walk you through it also. Hope this helps. George |
RE: Futaba 9cap question
Todd, you beat me! You brought up a good point about the gear switch. That's good if you don't want it moving with while in flight. I always put my nose steering on Aux. and use the VR(C) knob to adjust steering without affecting the rudder.
Say hi to the family, talk to you soon, George |
RE: Futaba 9cap question
That worked great, thank you

RE: Futaba 9cap question
Pegasus, FYI ...... I purchased the book 'Programming Futaba's 9CA' by Harry Higley. I found it helpful (and time saving) for some programing aspects. I thought it explained some programming features a bit better than the manual. I has many pictures of the LCD screen, and switches, on the 9C. Bob

RE: Futaba 9cap question
Tood, your idea is swell. Although, mine doesnt seem to work with master as aux 1 (ch. 4) and slave as rudder (ch. 7). The nose steering works, but the rudder doesnt move. In the aux channel menu, does the aux 1 channel get a know or a slider (i think not). So I kept it at null. Now on the pmix menu, with the gear switch as the on/off switch for the mix, how do u enter the mixing values for both sides of the aux 1 channel? Confused? I am. The cursor wont go to the left side.

ORIGINAL: Ragz Tood, your idea is swell. Your problem is the master has to be set to rudder (ch4) not aux 1 (ch 7) and slave set to whatever channel you choose to use for rudder mix (I assume ch7?). Set the activation on gear switch (dont remember letter of top of my head) in the down position. Then keep scrolling down thru the parameters and the page will change to your mix percentage. You adjust your left and right percentage by moving the stick in the direction of percentage you wish to adjust. Does this help?.... Draco ready to fly? BRG, Todd |
RE: Futaba 9cap question
