For the Mig lovers

Anyone know much about this early Mig ? I think it would make a great model. I am curious to know if the oposite side also has a round intake ?? Any one have any other pictures of Mig this to share ??

MiG-17 SN

This is a highly modified MiG-17. It used a bifurcated inlet. The front black splotch in the picture is a slot for a gun that could pitch +/-30 degrees. They had structural problems with the wing carrythru structure, apparently due to inlet duct location. I assume not many were built.

Thanks for the reply----I wondered just what the story with this one was---still would make a neat model.....definitely different than the norm.....
