Another smoke question

A question for all who have had good success with smoke is there any reason i can't use 3/16th brass tubing to the rear of the turbine instead of 3/16th stainless steel tube. This is to go on a Jet Cat 120 Mounted to a Roo

RE: Another smoke question

Brass melts at around 900 degrees C, stainless is around 1600 degrees C. Engine runs up to 900 degrees C have been seen, but probably not common. By the time you get that hot air off the tailcone and meeting your brass tube, you will probably be ok. But I would just use stainless, I mean, it's easy enough to get and for that application CHEAP!

Mat, do it all the time. Have never had a problem. Works very well. You can also solder your mounts for the tube to it. Good luck.
