BD-10 in the can
1 Attachment(s)
Once in awhile I will grab a hand full of my old M.A.N or R.C.M. magazines and swap them for the current magazines in the bathroom. It's a ritual I do every few months or so. What else are you going to do while your sitting there right? :D:D
I just happen to be going through the July '93 issue of R.C.M and found a little blurb on Col Bob Thacker's BD-10. Now who wouldn't like to own that right now 'eh? :D |
RE: BD-10 in the can
I have that set of plans and the write up just need time to build but think it will be cool..

RE: BD-10 in the can
It needs a turbine. I watched Bob attempt to fly it with a K&B 82 at Vegas without success. I'd like to know if anyone saw it fly elsewhere.

RE: BD-10 in the can
At 18lbs, I would have to agree that a turbine would be ideal for this. Very nice plane though. Where can you get the plans for this?

RE: BD-10 in the can
Paul Applebaum made a really nice flying kit of the BD-10. It was a little bit smaller than the Col.'s but it flew great.
I sold mine about a year ago. It would have handled a Wren 44 perfectly. |

Hi friends:
The plan and the building/flying article were printed on "Flying Models" February 1994 issue and you may order it as CF-925 plan. The model is of foam/fiberglass construction and the article a full descriptive 9 pages one. I hope this information is of help to you. Best Regards Jesus Cardin |
