Byron F18?????????

Is anybody out there familier with the Byron F-18? I have a buddy (non-jet type) that was asking about the kit. It seems that one may be available to him. Is it worth the trouble?

I didn't even know that Byron made an F-18 til I saw a turbin-ized one.....apparently it flies very well.

it barely flies on a 91 engine with byro fan

I would turbine it

Yup, from what I gather, Turbine would be the ONLY way to go. I'll bet that it would be a lot of work and re-engineering to bring it up to today's state of the art.

Thanks Vin. I'll give Jim a call. I flew this weekend too. I think it was 74 degrees in the cabin at FL380 on the way to Cleveland! I was out at the field Wednesday until my sneekers started sticking to the runway and got in a few flights. I've been working weekends lately.

'Come on October!

RE: Byron F18?????????

Well, as it turns out, the particular Byron F18 is about 90% built, so it is nearly impossible to do the mods for turbine power and my buddy doesn't want to go the DF route. I recommended the Skymaster F18. I guess he has a "thing" for the Bug. Thanks for the responses.

What's the asking price? I may have a buyer.
