BVM Maverick flaps ?

I am working on a maverick and just wondering if there is any difference in the way the jet flies with split flaps as opposed to the full flaps like the ones on the bandit .Thanks Randy

Full flaps...

Hey Randy,
Mine has full flaps. It flies great. lands great, it will drag the tail if desired. My flaps are not as extreme as the bandit's.

Can't say anything about the split flaps as I never flown a Maverick with them. Mine had full flaps, and they were usefull ! Had 4% down elevator mixed in, if my memory serves me well.

BVM Maverick flaps ?

It is my understanding that split flaps are not as effective as full flaps. Split flaps provide drag but very little lift. Full flaps provide drag but much greater lift due to changing the camber of both the top and bottom of the wing. I'd go with full flaps. Had 'em on mine and like Dustin says you can pull the nose up high enough to drag the tail if you wanted to.
