KingCat Setup help..
For guys using Tam's smoke system on a KingCat and the Crow setup, which channel do you use for smoke. I am coming up with Aux 4 but that is a Knob and I wanted a switch. BVM has Aux 2 being used for the crow setup can that be switched with Aux 4????
Thanks in advance for teh help... |
RE: KingCat Setup help..
I have a 10x. The first six channels are typical, with matchboxes on the flap and rudder channels. I usually like to have my nose steering on channel 10 so I can adjust it from the radio, but due to lack of channels, I am running it into the rudder matchbox too. Channel 7 is my 2nd aileron channel with the slider deactivated, 8 is for brakes, 9 for turbine aux control and 10 for smoke. The channel 10 knob is also deactivated. Mix channel 10 to channel 10 in one of your program mixes and assign it to whatever switch you want. The snaproll switch or the mix switch are a couple of options. The servo monitor function will help you see when you have things set up right.

Yes, you can control the Aux4 channel with the Aux2 switch. What you have to do is inhibit the Aux4 function so that the knob is no longer active. Then you setup a Pmix that is controlled by the Aux2 switch. With the switch in one position, the mix is "in" and the channel output is in at one limit, and with the switch in the other position, the mix is "out" and the channel output is at the other limit.
