RE: Video Compilation
Good job. Movie making is fun and all the available NLE programs sure do make it intuitive and straight-forward.
I think you'll find, after more experience, and by watching the better vids available, that "gimmicky" transitions actually detract the viewer from the subject matter. Why they even make those available is beyond me. Just watch any programs on TV and see how many of those gimmick transitions you see...absolutely none. Cross disolves or hard cuts is all you need and should ever really use. Time is better spent on color correction, fades, editing precicely to the music, etc. This was much more fun to watch than the standard, very uncreative "here's the entire flight, from start to finish, of so and so's jet" video, that's for sure. You've begun a habit of only using the good stuff...in close footage (except for the disintegration of Presta's F-18), and I hope you never stray from that. Now that you've messed with, and understand the editing process, it's time to try the really hard part...capturing good usable footage of RC Jets with your camcorder. [:@] Just remember...Garbage in = garbage out. Now, if we can just bump your musical taste at least up to somwhere in the 90's we'll be all set:D (I know, I know...you were using it for the lyrics) Above all...have fun, Paul |
