You can use your present needle setup by leaving it turned out a couple of turns(very rich mixture) and then use the mixture control in line as well to control inflight mixture.

RE: Rossi 90 DF

Hi Cassat.

During the years, I`ve had numerous engines in my DF jets.
The best was the Rossi 90, no doubt.. A Italian factory tuned beast.

Once it entered the 20k, it howleded up like it was it`s last flight...

I`d like to help those who aim for the turbine jets, because they seldom look back.. Soooo...

I`ll give you my brand new Rossi 90, with a Gleichhauf fan.
Of course, free of charge, as long as you pay the postage.

I don`t use them anymoore, it`s better someone else does, than collecting spiderweb in a corner of my too small hobbyroom.. The engine have never consumed as much as a sniff of fuel, but it`s well preserved with layup-oil.

You see, when I saw turbine for the first time, i had two Rossi`s in my F-15, not started yet.. ( Thanks to Per Strømmen)
Once at home, the first ting I did, was to remoove them as fast as I could, and aim for a replacement..

This is the third and last i have (had), and they all have been given the same as you`ll get yours.
Enjoy it, and welcome to the turbine world later on!
Use your engine as spare parts. ;)

All the best

Gudmund

You know Gudmuund, that AW Hawk is going to take up a lot of room. Just let me know which jets you need to get rid of and I'll send you my address and the shipping charges.:D

Gudmund example should be followed... we all have lot´s of old planes and parts rusting on our hangars that are the other man´s treasure.

That also helps to keep the mess room much cleaner and organized, LOL.

Best regards, Enrique

Cassat, the moore important than the money at the time, is your adress..
You can transfer the cost when you see the stamps.....

I though this might wake you up. ;)

Yes Gudmund,

It is very nice indeed. I have PM'd you the address. It is for the project of the Grumman F9F Panther. I decided to use the Rossi instead of OS.
Our first one did fly with the 66 turbine and kerosene quite well.

Been at work quite a while, and have other things in mind.
But it`ll get there.
But you`re right, frozen is a correct word, as I "inspected" the seasonal site yesterday.
You can`t get a flatter runway than this!!

This is definition of COLD..
Minus 12 deg C.
