Hello WD40.

This question has been asked before. So please do a search and I'm sure you will get a lot of information.

The SimJet 1200 SP is a fantastic engine. Excellent power to weight ratio and maybe the best/lowest fuel consumption in its class. Some people here in DK use this engine over other KJ66 based engines to save weight and fuel.

Any simjet is a VERY good engine I have two (2300 and 3000) and have never had a problem - loads of hours on them both.

The 1200sp 18lb er is based around the Wren SS which is also a very good engine (I have one too).

Wren or simjet you can't go wrong with either.

Hi Mike:

I agree with Stig, there is a good amount of info previously posted on this subject and in addition you know the service that I have gotten from my 1200-18AES. (S/P).

After several years of operations in 2 airframes, it's new home is now my FACET-1700 R/G prototype.

A very popular and solid engine at a very good price.

Mike, I will be glad to speak with you in greater detail or if you have any additional questions.

Best Regards:
