Name That Plane Finals

Ok guys...... Had to call for assitance on this one. With additional input from Eddie (aircraft designer), the wife, Father-in-Law and a few friends, four names came to agreement.... One of which was my own submission.
The top Four where:
Outlaw
Marauder
Pheonix
and mine, Convict

Ive eliminated Pheonix since AD has a kit out in this name. Interesting part is, this leaves my submission and.... Two from the same person, one of my closest friends, George [:@]
So....Since George does not need the glue (he gets plenty for free ;)) I am going to run another contest to give it away. Here's how it will work.

IN THIS THREAD Submit your vote for one of the three final names:

Outlaw
Marauder
Convict

Your vote, submitted via a post in this thread gives you a "raffle ticket number" via the post # . At 6pm on Friday (Dec 9), tickets for the total number of posts will be put into the hat and one ticket randomly drawn. The winning post number will win the Hysol Glue Kit. The highest vote count of the top three will select the name. To keep things fair, ONLY ONE VOTE PLEASE!

Good luck...

I'd pick Outlaw too.

Sorry, but Convict doesn't do it for me ; Marauder is a cool name too, but Outlaw just seems like it will give you a lot more snazzy graphics options for the aircraft finish, as well as graphics and catch-phrases for any banners you want to use in a marketing campaign. The only downside I see with Outlaw is that it's actually a synonym for Bandit ... and you've already had some paralells drawn between the BSJ and the BVM Bandit, so you gotta decide whether you like or dislike such parallels.

I'm guessing that you are too late to change Convict, into Conviction?!!!

Outlaw - it implys action (whereas convict seems to imply inaction because its already been nabed :D ) and it rolls off the tounge better than Marauder...

I didn't even think about the Bandit parallel until Gordon mentioned it and even if I had, it wouldn't bother me. I've seen Eddie's BSJ in process LONG before I even knew Bob was working on the Ultra Bandit, so I know Eddie's is an original idea...

Gordon,

Not only is Outlaw a synonym for Bandit, Maurauder is too!

If you look up Bandit in a thesaurus you get:

bandit
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: thief
Synonyms: brigand, crook, desperado, forager, gangster, gunman, highwayman, hijacker, holdup man, hooligan, marauder, mobster, outlaw, pillager, pirate, plunderer, racketeer, raider, ravager, robber, villain

My vote would go for Marauder, but I like Outlaw too. They have an image of something rather daring, outside the law etc. Whereas to me, "Convict" is a Bandit, Marauder or Outlaw who got caught .... a sad, shaven-headed character in a cell.

Good points Gordon, thought quite a bit about the Bandit/Outlaw connection. For the record, Outlaw was at the top of the list for me.

Keep it coming guys

LOL - I did actually wonder about that after I made my original post, but unlike you I was too darn lazy to look it up ! ;) Still, it's perhaps the more obscure link of the two (?)

Cheers,
Gordon
