Manual went today. Anthony If you read this your second MX-22 went today with the Mig (to work address) Best Regards Dave Wilshere |
RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
I'm currently considering this Tx, only thing in the back of my mind is that it may not have the same capabilities/versatility as I have been used to with the Mpx 4k, such as frequency scanner/channel checker. Also hoping all 12 channels are assignable regarding Rx socket, function and operating stick/switch/slider. That would be a great start.

RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Rob
MX-22 is a 10 channel radio... Switches are fully assignable and not in a painful Futaba way-you select a channel, say gear and it comes up on the screen which switch-you flick it once and that's it! See you Sunday Dave |
RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Thanks Dave, is it 12 channel in PPM mode ?

RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Thanks Sandor, do you know when the MX24 is due for release? Is it likely to be sooner or later?
Rob. |
RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Hey Guys,
You might also consider the Multiplex EVO 12. Great radio with the same functions and more than the other two radios mentioned. The have great local support here in the US. The price is ver competitive. They will also have a plugin spread spectrum module in the near future. Mike Mayberry and the guys at Hitec/Multiplex in Poway California right outside San Diego can not be matched in there level of customer service and support. John Ligons V/P AMT USA, LLC. Check out the Mx-24 :)
http://www.hobbystar.de/catalog/prod...oducts_id=4177 Digi trims this time and freq. synth too... |

Easy... The MX-24 is at least 3 months off. Biggest problem for us lucky Brits is the PLL frequency selection and Germany has 61-79 only...missing out our other 12 frequencies! Also the German has B band frequencies which we cannot legally use... I'm working on all these problems... Very few people are going to need 12 channels. JR having 10 proportional channels help. Rob yes on PPM, but that's for Shock flyers and gliders:D Dave Wilshere |

RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Interesting info, seems that you can invest in the MX22 now but it will be superseded by the MX24 at some point later this year.
I can't understand why there are only 10 channels on PCM, but 12 on PPM. My original idea was to evaluate an MX22/Mpx IPD Rx combo. I don't like being limited on Rx sockets, it means I would have to compromise with 'Y' leads which severely limits what I can do with those particular surfaces/functions. As an example my Rookie needed 13 channels so I had to accept a compromise and reluctantly 'Y' leaded the rudders which meant I could not adjust their travel individually. Rob. |
RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
I fly all my jets with Multiplex IPD 12 channel rx (using Mpx Tx rather than Graupner) and can confirm an excellent level of reliability. If you do decide to use Mpx IPD 12 channel with the Graupner, buy the synth rather than the crystal version, and buy the PC connection cable then download Mpx's free rx software for the PC. The reason is that Multiplex 12 channel tx do data compression and their rx de-compress the data, (to improve the refresh rate) but Graupner 12 channel is not compressed, the synth IPD 12 has a specific Graupner setting to work with Graupner tx and this option is only accessed via the PC software.

RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
I concur with what Harry said. I find that the 12 channel MPX IPD receivers (both synth & non-synth) are the most reliable receiver I have ever used. I have never had an issue that was not of my own making.

RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Re the picture of the case available for this (and other) radios, why is the foam always cut the wrong way. When you pick the case up by the handle the trani is upside down resting on all the switches!:D:D

RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Graham
It's a piece of foam...you can rotate it 180 degrees...;) But it's so that when you open the case the Tx faces you...the Graupner case supports the Tx by the handle in the bottom foam..no switch loading Regards Dave Wilshere |
RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Dave, will the new Spectrum 9chan JR module fit (and work) the MX22? i have a few MX 22 and i would want to convert them to 2.4 if pos.

When it comes, yes. regards Dave |
RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
Dave, do you think it would fit the MC-22 as well ?
Thanks. |

RE: JR/ Graupner MX22
I have been looking at this radio for a number of weeks and i am now probably going to take the plunge and buy. I predominately fly large gliders and am finding myself very restricted and short of channels with my existing JR 3810. I am particularly attracted to the programming functionality and switch assignability. there is only one thing stopping me buying at the moment. I see that the MX24 will be synthesised and was wondering, particularly as the radio has been around a little while, if there are any plans to bring out a new synthesised version in the near future. Does any one know of any plans? Would hate to buy now and find a new model next month for example.
