Need Weight Reduction and positioning F18 Single.
 

I need to cut weight out of my F18 Single, if anyone has any sensible ideas please let me know. I need 800grams off the aircraft from somewhere to carry our UAV controll system.

Background Info:
Trying to convert our working UAV control System from our helicopter projects into a F-18 Yellow Single with Ducted Fan. We are using this aircraft because the kit was free, and when we flick to UAV control it will most likely crash anyway.

Weight reductions so far.

-Missile rails are gone, repleaced by thin layer of epoxy to protect the foam tips on the main wings.
-Cockpit detail is gone (Seat etc, as it dont need to be pretty)
-Have fiberglassed all the aerofoil sections, resin has been kept pretty thin, almost to thin.
-Not planning to paint aircraft.
-Servo mounts are going to be shaved pretty close to thier mounting points. To reduce amount of 6mm ply in the aircraft.


QUESTIONABLE PROPOSALS
Fuel - We currently have a 24 ounce tank. What i need to know is how far can we get on 12 ounces as that would give me 300grams less weight straight up.

Internal bracing. As the stress on the bracing is primarily located at its edges we are planning to add a few more holes probalbe can reduce weight 50-100 grams throughout the aircraft. (Not ideal.)

If anyone has any extra brainstormed ideas that will still leave me with a sound flyable aircraft please let me know.
