9ZAP Programming problem
 

I'm playing around with the throttle cut/throttle trim to try and see the various ways to initiate start on my JetCat 120, currently using throttle trim with reduced steps. Problem I've got is that when yo go into the throttle cut screen you get the Active/inhibit line then the throttle rate line but I cannot get the throttle position set line to appear - can anyone shed any light on the problem, have I disabled something I shouldn't have ?? This function works fine on other models.

I'll describe my method, first I need to know which ECU you have is it a uni 11 or a V 4? Because the failsafe operation is different

Maybe I can help. I assume you are trying to run single channel mode?

The throttle trim does not affect the starting of the turbine. Are you trying to set the trim amounts so you can reset the start sequence easily?

My ECU is V2.0, no other markings, if it's any help eng. No. is 721 and it was bought new in Feb this year.

This is the way I do it
Goto FNC, go to throttle and disable the trim.
Goto CUT and enable, set to 100% select switch B set to "on off off".
You can now perform a learn RC acording to the ECU instructions.
To start the engine you move the switch to the centre position and go to full throttle. You will, of course have enabled the ECU for single channel operation.

If, as I do you require a throttle dual rate here's the next bit.
You follow this next part before the learn RC.
Goto PMX "3", activate and mark throttle as the SLAVE.
Goto NXT and set rate "A" to zero.
Return to PRO MIX 3 and select SWT select switch "B".

Perform the learn RC procedure, you can now set the RPM to say 100K. Goto AFR and throttle, you can now reduce the RPM by reducing the value of RATE "B",try say 60%.

When you are satisfied with the reduced RPM setting return to PROG MIX 3, goto SWT and set the switch position as "off off on".

The learn RC procedure is now repeated in the ECU,....done!

Your switch will now give you, medium RPM in the centre, high RPM down and stop, up.
