Storm at Markham
 

Here are some shots of Henry's new Storm from Modellbau-USA at Markham. Equipped with an Eagle Tree data system. Unfortunately I got there after the flight and winds got too high for the rest of the day so I didn't get to see it fly but those that went to Florida Jets already know this plane. Henry has some astounding power to airspeed numbers off the Eagle Tree I am sure he will share.
A little custom paint and it is looking great Henry! Congratulations.

Very nice pictures of my airplane thanks. The Storm flies great it is a very easy plane to build and goes together quickly. All the flying surfaces are hinged in the moldes and are ready to install servos in them. I have a Modell-Bau T-750 with 24 lbs of thrust powering the aircraft and Euro-Kit Gear, Wheels & Brakes. I have installes an Eagle Tree Telemetry System which monitors all of my flying surfaces, Turbine temp, G force, Speed, ALT, Reciver Voltage & Signal Strength, Engine RPM, and Ambient Temp. The system is real time and also rec. all data just like a Flight Data Recorder would do on a scale airplane. On the First flight I reached a speed of 159 MPH at 39% Power. I never got over 45% power thru out the whole flight except for take -off. I am expecting it to be a very fast airplane well above 220 MPH. It also lands like a dream at 40 MPH and has a stall speed around 32 MPH according to the eagle tree system. I love the way it flies it is very stable at slow speed and lands like a dream.

Airplane was flown today agian before the jet meet on saturday and it was very impresive 200 mph on high speed pass

Well, yes that is a pretty good description. It would work as a first jet but more for someone that has already flown a turbine for the enjoyment capabilities of the airplane.
The Storms here I know have flown on everything from a 500 to the Modellbau T-900 (I beive that is 28Lbs thrust)
The T-750 at 24 pounds+ seemed the ideal. The airplane can fly extremely fast yet slow down to kangaroo speed.
Its not just speed. Angel would take his at a pretty good clip going vertical and snap the crap out of it. The first time I saw him do it I thought for sure it was going to come apart. I actually winced when I saw it because I naturally thought of what it would be like to be in it for real. He has since done it numerous times and always would make me tense up watching. Ever see a high performance jet do a very aggressive Lomcevak? thats pretty close to the best description I can come up with.
If you have been flying a hot spot, rookie or kangaroo you won't have a problem flying a Storm. I would recommend having a very large open area of flying boundaries to really enjoy this airplane but its not necessary. Since they are clamping down on us here at Markham I think Angel will be doing lots more aerobatics with his new one.

Hi Mark, thanks for the description. Does anyone have video of this plane flying? Would it go ok with an 18 to 20 lbs motor?

18-20 pound turbine would be fine. It has flown on a 500 which was probably about 14 pounds.
I am sure Agel is flying today. I will try to get you some video if I can figure it all out.
