RE: need TJT support
As I understand it, Marty moved back to Australia, and hasn't been online for awhile, but he did post in the TJT support forum on Feb 27th. What kind of help are you looking for? I've been flying one for three or four years...

RE: need TJT support
Tony, my spool down time is slow. It takes around 7-8 sec to go from full to idle. I think my ECU values need to be changed. Right now it is set @ 23 on the deceleration delay. Also what kind of ECU battery are you using? Any problem going to Lithium Ion? And last what kind of thrust are you getting, I go to 125,500 on my ECU @ full power. I would like to talk to you if I could get your phone # that would be great. Or if you wouldn't mind giving me a call @ 954-816-7917 Thanks for the reply I cant get any response from TJT Mike

RE: need TJT support
Do you have the TEMS or the FADEC ECU ?
I think I have manuals for both.. I haven't had to fiddle with the settings too much. If you got the TEMS version, I can go downstairs and read off the settings that I have. Currently have it dialed down to 124K, and that is way more power than I need...tried 126K once, and that was scary (the plane was not build for that kind of power..) I'm using a 7 cell nicad pack. I checked on using Li batteries a couple of years ago, and they don't recommend them, only because they have never tested them. Certainly the way battery techonlogy has progressed in since that time, I can't see there being any issues... |
RE: need TJT support
I have run a TJT3000 for over 1 year now. I use a TBM Lithium Ion battery pack with no problems. My decelleration delay is set to 30 (3 secs) and works fine.

RE: need TJT support
I'm not an electronic specialist by any means, but the type of battery used should really have nothing to do with the spool down time. Volts are volts and amps are amps, makes no difference what kind of battery they come from....Ron

RE: need TJT support
I am using the FADEC ECU. I realize the spool down time is not effected by the Battery, I was wondering if I need A regulator for the ECU to bring the LIPO voltage down. I can try adjusting the deceleration time on the eng to see if it helps. Thanks for the advice guys the TJT reps are non existant right now. Mike
