Distance between fuelpump and servo
I'm well aware that the fuelpump must be placed as far as possible from the RX, but inside my Rookie, I tend to install it rather close to one of the rudder sevos. Anyhow, wherever I place it, it will still become close to servo cables. Pls advice :-)

RE: Distance between fuelpump and servo
You just don't want the pump right on top/right next to a servo, the RX, and the RX battery. I installed the pump on my rookie toward the front of the plane, cable tied to the right support next to the nose gear and underneath the radio mounting plate. All of the turbine equipment is on the right side (ECU, fuel pump, fuel/propane solenoids) of the plane. All of the radio components are on the left side. I use a whip antenna that exits the plane vertically behind the canopy. The vertical orientation of the whip antenna is desired as it is perpendicular to the wires of the turbine electrical components. This helps to keep the turbine components from transfering RFI to the radio components.
I hope this helps... Kevin |

servos are not an issue

if your pmp effects a servo from voltage bleed etc. it is a lemmon

Ditto what Lee says. I've even seen cases where glitching occurs because of a servo lead being physically tied to a gyro lead - the pilot was just trying to keep everything neat by bundling the wires together, and ended up inducing noise in the servo wires. He was dumbfounded at first as to why a PCM system was glitching - he figured it should be locking out if there was interference, but the lockout only occurs if the 'interference' occurs before the incoming signal is decoded and checked for valid checksums etc.

RE: Distance between fuelpump and servo
Thanks for all replies. I've decided to mount the pump at the LH engine mount. This way it's some 20 cm away from the nearmost servo, and as far as possible away from the RX.
