True Airworld does a 262, but it is small. Joe Saietta from Florida does a real nice 106" wingspan 262, that will fly on turbines, DF, or even OS 1.08's and props! It is a glass fuse and wing center section, with the outter panels being built up. I owned Joe's prototype and it was a super flying airplane. I also have a kit that is forsale...check out the other site, www.rcscalebuilder.com and look under airplanes for sale forum...my ID there is Pickupsticks. Or you can go straight to Joe, at [email protected] by the way, Joe is a great guy to deal with and a master class buider/designer.

builT a few Me 262's from the airworld (about 1/6) , Joe S kit and a 1/4 scale one . If I ever did another, I would go with P 60's and the Airworld kit. Reasoning the kit is easy to transport,& Most important the powerplants stay CONNECTED to fuel system and is close to scale (Intakes could use some work). Another added bonus is Everything need to build it is off the shelf, no wait for special order gear etc.

Hi Joe,
The P-60`s would fit nice in the AW 262 but they would need about 60oz per motor imo for fuel?? maybe the AW would be too small for that much fuel ?? V..

Vin...
I have two 60 oz tanks that I used in the Joe S 262 They are a 2 " longer, same shape than the ones that I used in Col Kluges MW44 ride If you want to try I'll send them out. also would need the low thrust P 60's not the 15 pounders

RE: ME262

I don`t have a 262 to fit them in ?? ha!! I guess you could squeeze in that amount. BTW you can turn down the thrust on the P-60`s if needed. V..

No doubt, you lose a motor its not pretty. V..

doesn't fly too well with out an outer wing panel either:eek::eek: Adverse Yaw is a killer too, When you all view the video you can see the effects of having the thrust line below the wing, as it starts to lift off before V1,

RE: ME262

Joe,
It shows in the full size 262 vid that its lifting off a bit early like yours did. I never had that problem with your twin AW 44 powered 262 or my AW elec ones, they seemed to be glued to the pavement and had to be coaxed to rotate. V..

Thnks guys for the info

Since the engines are so far apart ,I might be looking at electric powered ( did have bad experience with my OV-10 Bronco at low altitude )

But the ME262 still looks cool with mini turbine ( tough decision )
