Hello again::)

RE: Ailerons or Tailerons ???
Personally, I prefer to have the redundancy of separate controls wherever possible rather than rely solely on compound controls.
I've had a case where one elevator servo died just as I turned final(s), and as a result pulling any elevator control caused not just a pitch but also a rolling moment. Because the aircraft had ailerons too, I was able to use opposite aileron to counter the roll induced by the single elevator, and so I brought the aircraft home safely. If I had been reliant on just using elevators to control both pitch and roll, then the aircraft would have been uncontrollable and would have been lost. Of course, if you are using elevators (inc all-flying stabs) for pitch & roll but still have separate ailerons too - that can still give you redundancy. Gordon |

Thanks, I will try in this way; elevators and ailerons separately. Regads from Spain.;) Carlos. ___________________________ http://cmjets.blogspot.com/ |
RE: Ailerons or Tailerons ???
I fly my Tam F18F with ail, elev, rudder and it flies great that way.
I also have planned to set a mix that would allow the ability to have the elevators function as ailerons to try for regular flight but also in case I ever had a aileron flutter problem etc. Would allow roll control. The only known (to me) problems with flutter on the F18F has been rudder or aileron..just my two cents Dave |
RE: Ailerons or Tailerons ???
I did the first start with taileron and aileron, she rolls too sensitive.
The next start I did with the aileron-only and so I have now. I hawe F18f SM Now I Thinking to have the possibility to switching on-off taileron . |
