Jet Pack

Anyone looking for a Jet Pack can check this out:

Wonder what the reserve is, must be a good chunk of change with 8 AT 450's for power.

Yea, the engines would be worth something if they are in good condition, but the guy is such a "character" shall we say, who's to say what shape they are in or how the deal might go down...

Didn't one of those engines ingest an RPM sensor wire?

Well there we go after all, he looks to be selling up or is he raising funds...

At least it looks like he'll avoid the Darwin, wish I had won the lottery I would win just to meet the guy!!!

Love the video of test 2, he's got them running and he's strapped to a structure with a cable, he lifts his feet off the ground, of course the cable supports him, no proof that the jet pack actually lifted him at all :P

"If you are a bidder who is 2nd or 3rd when the sell ends, stay posted until I verify payment.
I expect many false bids during this auction."
I expect a non working jet pack... hahahah

I look at the jetpack...and then the rusty falling down tin shed in the background, and his test rig....and I think:

"Hey, y'all, watch this!"

The guy deserves some sort of Redneck Lifetime Acheivement Award for most dangerous, loud, and pointless stunt of the year.

that is one cool video!
i hoped it was without the cable , i am sure it would have the same effect as with a rookie 2 with the canards at 70 degrees full up and full up on the thrust vectoring...

Hey I building the same thing with 30 O.S. 40's. Fifteen on each side. I plan to get one 2 second flight. Then I will sell it on ebay after I throughly made an ass out of myself..

Just giving all you prospective bidders a heads up!!!

No chance, as I have not seen a single credible use of a pube-matrix composite part on the "Jet Pack"!

Only Tracy is at the cutting edge of pubelistically reinforced aerospace structures. (this of course allows Mr. Hefner to carry bunnies further around the world while using less jet fuel with larger structural margins of safety) The future is NOW at CrapCat Industries!!!

Mr. Travolta, take note.

Mr. Travolta, take note.
If the "fibers" are not properly harvested, and not lubricated and wetted out properly, you run the risk of the structure becoming flaccid prematurely.
As for me, I will fly only on properly manufactured union-made products.
It's my life, and my Bunnies at stake.

Ah, they busted that one on Mythbusters. They made one twice as big as the one in the Japanese show and it went nowhere. There was a wire there somewhere that lifted the Japanese guy into the air...

This is the second time it's been on ebay and I believe it has gone up 399.00 in price.
