What would be the ideal prop plane to be proficent with before moving to a turbine trainer? Maybe a fast pattern plane?

Welcom to RCU. Do a search. Peeps get annoyed sometimes when questions like this are just thrown out there. There are many good prop planes, out there.

Here's mine. Great Planes patriot. Got my turbine waiver with it.

You people went straight from a prop jet to a turbine? What turbine powered jet did ya go to after that?
I fly a Patriot right now and have a DF F-16 on the way. I'm wondering if I shouldn't just make the leap to turbine instead.

Get a Weston MagnumR, with a Jett .50 FIRE engine, close to 200mph, land fast, good trainer for jet.

Get this. It made by the skymasters folks, called the A-10x, and sold by todd at dreamworks rc. It needs reinforcement in the mains. That's what those black CF patches over the center sections are. I tripled all the formers I found. Do this and the airplane will be bullet proof. Yeah I went from my Patriot to my SM f-15 (one landing, scared the feces out of me!) and I bought this to get to know the whole turbine lag thing....

Trash the DF and go turbine baby, You won't look back.

I went from my Direct Connection F-20, to my first turbine.
My first turbine was the facet 2300 with a p-80 which now has a p-120 75 flights,
and from there I have now ready to fly 2 more jets, a Skymaster Hawk and also anew Composite arf Kangaroo, which both are waiting test flights this coming weekend.

most of the jets out there are really not such a big deal to fly ... you can even jump into a BobCat or somehting equivalent if you have experience on a patern plane, or a warbird .. just comes in a bit faster, but you always feel positive control ..

Dale, I went from a 60 size sport plane (and a few gassers) right to the Super Reaper (.. 'course, we can do that up here). the take-off needs a bit of attention because if you have to abort, it takes awhile for the thing to spool down...flying is easy, just stay ahead of it, and keep the orientation (never let it silloette on you!)...landing though.....that's where you start to work!! You have to be at least a half a lap ahead of it...some jets are easier than others .....We tried to use an Enforcer as a delta wing trainer, but it is too easy to fly....:)

You should have come to Tofield man..........the Bonnyville gang was down, and I had my 16 out there today.....
