Help with Jetronic Brake valve
I am trying to sort out my Jetronic brake valve on a SM F15 for theweekend.
I have mixed the brake valve with the Elevator, so when I apply down elevator the Brake valve actuates. Is this correct What I cant sort out, is to stop the brake valve operating whilst in flight!!!!!!! I am sure there is a way of switching this mixing off, whilst in flight. But I cannot find anyway of doing this!!!! I am using a JR PCM 9X mk2.. Could someone please help, as I am supposed to having a maiden flight with this, at the weekend!! Many Thanks Peter G |

Peter
I fly JR 3810 ON AN F15 but I leave the mix on all the tim.As long as the mix only comes in at the extremities of stick movement there should be no air loss. Tim |

Thanks Would it help then, if i played around with the 7 point curve?? making the mixing inactive, between min and max elevator?? Regards Peter G |
RE: Help with Jetronic Brake valve
Put it on the snap roll switch. When you apply full down, you can unload the main wheels causing a lock up at worst, the least it can do is introduce instability.
I use the snap roll button on my SM F-15 with the Jetronic valve and it works great. Beave ORIGINAL: turbinepeter Tim Thanks Would it help then, if i played around with the 7 point curve?? making the mixing inactive, between min and max elevator?? Regards Peter G |
RE: Help with Jetronic Brake valve
Your elevator to brake mix can be turned on and off by a switch if you choose to program it this way. Just make your retract switch control the mix. Gear down: Mix on. Gear up: Mix off.
If you are using flight modes just skip this mix completely in the "flying" flight mode. For the mix itself I recommend the brakes to come on as soon as you give down elevator. Then you will have little or no "tail lifting effect" from the elevator, even at high speeds. |
