10 X programing
My Crusader needs flaperon and flap operation. I would like to program flaps to control lending edge, the small trailing flaps, and the flaperons. The only problem is while the ailerons move at normal speed I need the flap movement of all the surfaces to move slow using servo slow. I hope I explain this well enough for someone to understand. I'm using a 10X.

RE: 10 X programing
Unfortunately I don't think you can do that with flaperons. You can get them to deploy slowly, but then your entire motion of the servo will be slowed.

RE: 10 X programing
I am able to slow the flap function only (aileron action works at normal speed) of flaperons with the 9303. You do it by slowing the flap channel and not the aileron channel. Since the aileron channel is mixed with flap it moves at the same slow speed when the master flap is moved.

David,
Get an MX-22. You can set the transition time between flight modes, while retaining high rate primary controls. I use it on my L-39 to slow down the flap deployment, and when I go to full flap I get 1/4inch of aileron reflex and the elevator retrims, all over a period of 4 seconds. A very powerful transmitter that has more capabilities than the 10X. Paul |

David Hudson Try the slow function on the flap channel only. Of course I am using a 9303 so they may have perfected the software since the 10X came out... I slave the aileron to the flap. Servo slowed the flap side but it affected ( slowed aileron also). I'm fairly hardheaded I'm going to keep trying until I know or I get smoke. David Hudson |

RE: 10 X programing
Hi David,
Give this a shot. Ail1 -> ail Ail2 -> aux1 turn on flaperon mix flaps -> aux5 set servo speed on aux5 to suit, and mix aux5 -> aux1. I think this might do what you are after. You might have to mix aux5 -> ail also, but I am hoping that the flaperon function will handle that for you. good luck. Steven |

RE: 10 X programing
May I ask what the outcome was with this?

RE: 10 X programing
ORIGINAL: rcumember May I ask what the outcome was with this? The 10X only has servo slow so all function tied with the slowed servo is locked at the selected speed. JR needs to have a " function slow" and that would have worked fine. On a flaperon, slow flap movement was needed with normal speed ailerons. What I was getting was slow servo on both functions. I got around the problem with a simple double belcrank device on each flaperon. David Hudson www.dcmodelshop.com |
