King Cat Wing Gap ???

I'm just finishing up my King Cat. When I installed the left wing to drill the hole in the carbon fiber tongue that extends into the fuse, there was a gap of approx 1/8th inch between the back of the wing and the boom (a little smaller at the front). As it said in the manual, we held the wing tight as tight as we could against the boom before drilling the hole. This closed the gap, but after placing the bolt in, the gap was back. It was a little smaller, maybe 3/32nds, but still looks wider than I would have liked.

Is this normal, or is there anything that can be done to improve it? Will it have any effect other than cosmetic?

Thanks, can't wait to get it in the air!

Mine was the same way. I have seen others like it also.

that’s part of the quality issues BVM had when getting their ARFs manufactured by Composite-ARF. Supposedly the new tooling and manufacturing facilities are going to improve on parts fit. All 5 of the bobcats/kingcats i own/owned had this issue ..

Thanks for the replys! I wanted to be sure it wouldn't be a problem in flight. For an ARF, I guess its not that big a deal. I'm sure it won't be visible at 200mph. ;)
