Flash Question??
For the guys that are already flying the Flash; is it neccessary to cut the holes in the bottom of the fuselage (as mentioned in the manual) to obtain the proper amount of cooling for the fuse at the rear. I am running a P-120 turbine. Thanks in advance, Gary

RE: Flash Question??
Hi Gary,
Although I haven't flown one, I am 2/3rds through building one. I had the same thought as you and thought were they actually needed. After speaking to my CARF rep it became pretty obvious that they are because without the NACA inlets there is no way for any cool air to enter the gap between the inner and outer pipe. This is because the carbon bellmouth is a snug fit in the hole in the former. I decided not to take the risk and cut the fuselage as per instructions. Geoff. |
RE: Flash Question??
Definetely ,Cut the holes as the directions indicate, you may want to check with your Composite ARF rep to see if there are any updates on this. Jack.

Well, if you're gonna cut them - make 'em look smart :)
