looking for the supplier for the trailing link gear and struts i've seen on many xl's in the usa. ie-gary in ohio-john in mich etc

Dreamworks struts are the Jet A-1 units I believe. Eurokit, Behotec, Jetpower, Sierra Precision, and Robart (when avaialble) all offer trailing link struts.
