I just had to post this. Figured since I was working on a jet, it would be jet related. I knocked my Exacto blade over. I just saw it right as it fell off and moved my foot back a couple inches. That is exactly where it landed, NO BULL. I had to stop for a second to wait for the pain to kick in. To my amazment it never did. That is about as close as it gets folks. I've had some funny things happen while building, ie supergluing my thin nylon basketball shorts to the top of my fruit n' berries but this takes the cake. Did that once, as a kid. I was barefoot, except mine stuck in my foot....

Funny thing was, after I realized I didn't cut off my toe, I was yelling from the garage to my wife and daughter to bring the camera cause I didn't want to spoil the shot. I had to call from my cell to the house to get someones attention. Good thing I didn't need any real help.

Billy, that was a close call. been there done that about 10 years ago around my knee. [:@]. Now if I see the knife rolling I just jump out as far as I can.:eek:

You said fruit and berries:) Very funny.

I used to have a habit of drilling small parts with my Dremil and 1/64 drill bit, while holding them. I finally broke that habit when I drilled right through the plastic and right under my finger nail. It is amazing how fast a 25,000 RPM bit will cut through skin. Ouch!

Use a small size zip tie around the handle, cut off the excess, and it won't roll off the table.

i have had an xcto through my foot at least 2 times ... hammer on the big toe once, and one time i had a large puddle of epoxy on the garage floor which i stepped into barefoot ... that took a loooong time to free myself from as i cut myself free from the floor with a razor blade ....

i know of someone here in NJ that spilled a whole big bottle of thin CA on his tidy whiteies :D ... needed to be taken to the hospital on a gourney where thay were able to separate his balls from his undies :D

Oh my God that is tooo funny. I believe it, that CA is no joke, guys at my work say ,"just pull real fast.Yeah right!! Good stuff Voy.

I also had a friend that was trying to glue his wing ribs, But there was no glue coming out. So the next thing he does is squeeze the bottle as you know it . It went right in to his eyes , So he drops the Ca, put his hand over his right eye ,and now his right hand is glue to his eye. We were trying to keep our cool. But after the hospital, We were laughing our asses
off. But lucky he was allright.

Ouch!! I dropped a similar knife one day in the worshop but it didn't make it as far as my foot....it stuck almost verically into my calf muscle...needless to say I didn't shout for the camera..!:(
