Hi Hustler58,

Great tip, thanks

I have noticed that you have done 3d modelling with some of your planes . Can you tell me what kind of software you use and what method you are using (solid modelling, freeform, ?)

Also, have you ever had one of your models routed out by CNC router or anything like that?

Thanks in advance,

Hi David,

Same question for you, you use Rhino don't you? Surface or freeform?

And where do you get the plugs cut? Do you have your own machine? I am having a hard time sourcing this kind of service, not sure what I am looking for.

Has BVM anyone bought your molds yet? ;-)

Regards,

Hi Butch, that sure looks a lot messier than the hotwire. I took a look at rhinos web site they say the program runs with DOS compatable computers. That is 20 year old computer term do you have to shut down windows to run your software? also your mill bed was that home made? the bed sizes offered at Rhino don't even come close to your table size.
Thanks for the tip with Dow I'll try them.

RHINO runs on widows. Are you looking at the right site? http://www.rhino3d.com/. As for the CNC it is not home made. It cost $18,000.00 and has been a very good tool. A CNC or CAM program has no limits. It does what you tell it to do so I don't understand your question. Butch
