Hello Everyone.
I have a trouble with CBM regarding delivery.
This time I asked BBB to make CBM ship to me.
But BBB said to me they cannot find CBM address and all postage came back, I told them 2 address of CBM I knew from Internet.
But they cannot.
Does someone know Combat Models' correct address.? And what happened? They run bankrupt? or closed?
I know CBM is not good company to consumers, I emailed a lot of times and sometimes I got e-mails but recently no reply from beginning of Dec 02.
I cannot contact them at all.

I hope your help.

Hello,
Be patient, they sooner or later will get back to you. CBM is run by two brother who have regular full time jobs. Although there customer service leaves alot to be desired they are ethical and you will get what you pay for eventually.

Hope this helps

I recieved my Hornet undercarriage after waiting two years. I sought the assistance of legal council whom told me I had every right to be annoyed. Keep trying to get a hold of them, they will come through with the goods, allbeit very slow.

All my advice is to any CBM jet owner still requiring parts is keep hounding and ye shall recieve (though it should never be that way with business!) My advice is to seek the help of a lawyer, they do good work

Hello All. After my previous e-mail , I contacted BBB again, but they couldn't connect to Tel NR I sent them which I got from Derek Bruce of Combat Model on 5th Feb.

I cannot believe why we cannot call to Combat Model.
I tried to call them many times but couldn't and I got New NR from Combat Model.

Always they don't receive tel from every one.

On 5th Feb I got one information from CBM , I would get this kit within one week or soon. but after that no informations regarding tracking NR and others nd I cannot contact them.

BBB said they cannot do anything no more.
How should I do?

Does someone know how I should contact CBM ?

If some one know ,could you tell me ?

I already wait 11months to get this after paying money.

Contact their states attorney. I did and I sent a copy of the email
I sent to their states attorney to them. Within thirty minutes I had a responce from CBM. I would not buy anything from them again. Your best bet is to find someone selling a CBM kit and buy it from them.

Hello Thomas.

Did you do action to them?

My concerns are we cannot contact with CBM and States attorney and BBB also cannot do.
Many times BBB sent letters to them but seemed to be resent back.

I guess you already paid money for CBM. what should we do?

First thing to do , I guess we need to know their correct address and tel NR and fax NR . but in their home page there are sill previous Nrs.!
Does someone know correct address?

I want anyone in this Forum to teach us how to get our kit already paid money.

Best regards

Just a quick question.

Could you get these guys to send the stuff COD and then check it out before you give the money to the post office? That way, if its not complete they pay for it both ways after you tell the post office you won't accept it.

I know this won't help the people that have already sent the cash but for future customers it would help, since people seem to agree that the product is good quality.

Hello Toshiaki

Yes, I tried the same as you BBB and state attorney. Probabely a local lawyer could help, but I think it would cost more, than the new kit.

I payed them the whole kit too (Credit Card). I took the complete kit. Between last october and last december I get the plane kit in two separate boxes. The third box should be the one with the landing gear and accessories. This one was promised for February 2003, but nothing heard since then.

I also has no idea, what we can do next.

The best words of advice on this company is just not to buy anything from them at all.I wouldnt trust them so far as to even buying a friggen wheel. They are very shady,a buddy of mine was in cali couple years ago for naval training. He was there for like 6 weeks & said he went to their location atleast 6 times with no one ever there & called them like 10 times with no response.I am quite surpised that they are still in business after all these years of customer mistreatment & taking months/even years to ship something to someone. That is purely friggen ridulous & there is no reason for that kind of business.I own a business here & if I ignored my customers for months & didnt give them what they paid I would have been outta business a long time ago.I cant believe that the law hasnt shut them down yet cause this has been going on @ their business for many years now.In time they will meet their demise. As I said the best thing one can do is to just not buy from them to start with.I 'll be damn if I'd wait years to recieve something I paid for,I'd be canceling my credit card real quick.I once had a horrible exp. with a new jet company & they are a new company. My 1st exp. was my first & last with them ,they seem to be into double billing every customer & not wanting to pay you back once you find the mistake on your cc bill.I wont mention any names tho..Its really a shame too cause CBM made some very nice stuff(their f18 gear was sweet) Notice I speak of them in the past sense cause they will be gone shortly with these antics/business practices. This is just my .02 cents

A demand with no supply

Well, someway, somehow they manage to stay in business. Their website looks so legitimate. I'm almost tempted to order a jet just to see what happens. It says, "place order and a sales rep. will contact you." Has anyone gotten past this point? If so, how do they dance around questions such as, "How do explain all of the negative reviews about you on RCU and related sites"? I like the idea of making them send a product C.O.D. I'll ask them about that as well, if I can contact them.

I got behind this point, but I managed all things by fax and they answered. Also all technical questions before ordering, were answered within a few days. This kept me to place an order. After I ordered the kit I saw some other post around here about this problem. Most time they do not answer the negative review questions and say it will be shipped this or next week, or also say its already shipped, but you get nothing. Annother story I get was "Sorry we were out on a show, where we got much order requests"

If you want to order a kit try C.O.D othwise keep the finger off of this deal or buy one from a person, which sells a complete kit.

Hello Thomas.
Did you get remains from CBM?

For me, I haven't received anything from them but on Aug they contacted that I would get this soon. But after that nothing I received.

I have spent to wait for this 1.6months.

Who received everything from them?

I guess as of now many guys haven't done this kit from them.

I finally received the custom gear (mains, nose, tail hook, all the air cylinders, and robart air kit) for the F-18 last week. To CBM's credit they did finally deliver after all the same emails everyone else has received. Almost a 2 1/2 year backorder, but like I said I did get them last week. I have had the same problems as everyone else with the F-18 and two F-16's but they always delivered eventually. Too bad they couldn't continue their service level from the early days. I do have one positive CBM story however, last year I bought a F-16 on ebay and it was missing a couple of parts and I contacted CBM about the problem and they shipped me the missing parts the next day at no charge! That being said, I still wouldn't order anything until I hear some more positive feedback.

Kirk

P.S. F-18 custom gear is quite a piece of engineering with average paint job.

Hello Toshiaki,
No, I received nothing from CBM. I emailed them on December 23rd, but did not get any answers until yet.
The last answer I get from them was in February 2003. Since then I emailed them 6 times without any success.

Sorry, I can't get you any better message.

Best Regards,
Thomas

I don't know how Combat Models stay's in business? Maybe it's not really a business anymore, or just a part-time hobby? They used to advertise frequently in magazines don't see that anyore, the pictures you see on their webpage are very dated 1980's era. Tower Hobbies used to sell them years ago, but not anymore.

Their planes always looked good, but with the rap sheet of negative dealings, I never bought one.
