Composite ARF
 

Composite ARF have come in for quite a bit of stick on this forum in the past. So its nice to be able to make positive post.
Many years ago I bought a Fiber Classics F-86 Sabre which I have been tootling along with ever since. However, I finally got my butt in gear this summer and made some serious progrees. However, when I came to fixed the canopy I screwed up. I cut the canopy off square somehow and no way was it ever going to fit. I was now in a real fix with this model, without a canopy I could not finish the model.
I met Mike Cherry at Jet Power in Germany and asked, with little real hope, if by any slim chance they had an F-86 canopy at Composite lurking in the store cupboard. Mike doubted it very much, but the next day he told me he had had a conversation with Andreas and he would make me a new canopy. However it would take a couple of months because they did not have a good plug, and would have to rework an old one or make a new one.
Well two canopies arrived today and they are better quality than the original. Andreas did not have to do this to help me, after all this model was from his former company, not his current company. Above and beyond the call of duty I think.
Anyway, I'm a happy camper and I thought credit where it's due, so Mike, Andreas and Mark, Thank You very much.

i would love to see composit-arf make some new molds for it and put it back on the market again :eek:

John, glad they could help you out.

Comp-ARF's customer support is pretty good all round but, as most companies probably find, it goes unmentioned by people and only the few negative aspects get posted on forums such as this so thank you for making the effort to post what you did!

I to have had great luck with getting parts for a old Euro and when they were on back order or had to be remade they informed me, and sent me a hat for my wait, they setup a pretty good customer relationship, and I like the way they do business. Now if they cold just get to work on that large F86... :D

John, that is a great story you shared.. Please let us see a photo when it is done.
I wish Comp-arf had that F-86 too, I want one!!! Waaaaaaa!

Ditto John, my experiences with Comp-arf have been of a very professional and responsive company with excellent customer support/aftersales service.
