Anyone know the covering and the paint that is used on the AMD Hawk

hI ,
The nearest paint match i have found is the perkins r/c paint spray ferrai red or profilm ferrai red is an excellent match if you want to recover the whole wing and it will make it go faster being ferrai red!

When I bought mine, I was adviced the match were Painter's Touch Deep Blue Gloss #1927 and Apple Red Gloss #1966

I bough them and actually used the blue one. Don't recall using the red one.

Yes. It's made by Rust-Oleum. You can get it in the US at most hardware stores

Have found a UK distributor and have asked for stockist near me.

Got some ferrari red profilm as recomended by David - thanks,
never got the paint as it was out of stock and did'nt have much faith in it matching the film anyway as there statement of "blends perfectly with profilm colours" is a real joke, I have to completly repaint a large stearman due to a very bad colour match of there No. 50 blue. [:@]
