We have been testing the 2nd protype Velox here and I second everything Sandor has said - ours has the factory retracts & as part of the testing it was flown off a not very even grass strip with no problems at all. Its flight performance is fantastic & vice free. It is powered by an Artes Falcon 10 kg & this seems overkill - the vertical is endless & as Sandor says it must do over 300 km/hr but slows right up. An on-line construction manual with photos is being prepared & hopefully will be available on the Fei-Bao website before delivery of production Veloxes. In the flesh it is beautiful & is awesome in the air. A definate winner in the sports jet category - I think a 6-8 kg turbine will be more than enough - ours is airborne in 15 metres on grass & climbs out vertically.

Hey Guys, Any news about the L-39? I saw it up on the website and i wanted to hit the purhcase button. Is there any info on how it flies as well on issues? I have a new P-80 and i am wondering if this is the perfect turbine for the L-39? Also, any comments about the plane how would this setup perform? I originally thought that it was the same as the skymaster on but i noticed that is smaller! Also, it seems like a pretty go deal on the intire setup without turbine!

Also, it seems like a pretty go deal on the intire setup without turbine! comments please! thanks andrew if all goes well we will fly it before the end of the month. for engine choice we have the following to go in: P-60 Wren SS Simjet 1200. i will prebuild it and keep a eye on the weight and balance. then i will make the engine choice.. as soon we think it fly,s great and needs no alterations anymore or not we will give the go ahead to produce more. we dont think it is smart to first build lots of them , and if somethings wrong to "patch" them. also many of you know i am very strict on landing gears. i think thats why FeiBao toulk some time to get the right landing gears for it. i dont want drama,s like the competition... ;) |
