Ted,

Are you a scuba bottle man, or do you have the "Eliminator" ?

Hi Spartan Missile

I do have the auto start unit for the engines but it still requires a scuba tank. I converted an AT180 and a Ram 750+ to electric start
I am planning on doing the same to these engines sooner or later.
To answer your question yes I'm still on the bottle ( in more ways than one )

Take care

Ted

For the most part - they're absolute tanks; very tough and reliable.

While "old school air-start", I love mine; it just runs and runs. I'm using a pony -sized bottle, but instead of SCUBA, it's from an escape kit. This way, I can fill it at work or elsewhere and don't have to worry about curious dive-shop guys insisting I have a certification. Very easy to carry everything in a duffle bag.

Hey Ted,

Did you do it yourself, was it difficult, got any pictures and parts list please ?
I have older AMT Mercury & Pegasus air-starters that are not economic to get them factory upgraded to electric start.
The compressor nuts are quite flat with a knurled surface.
